Imagine 1001 TV Shows You Must Watch Before You Die. Put two 1 hour episodes together and you have your average movie. Let's assume there are 8 episodes per season for a show (there's hardly ever that little) and it ran for three seasons (a lot will most likely have run longer than this....and imagine The Simpsons.) That's 12 movies for one show, 24 hours. That's impractical. That's more than millions of hours on your DVD player.
Games today run about 10 hours. Then you have multiplayer. And the older games, like RPGs? Hundreds of hours. Imagine games are like the TV example, each one 24 hours. Millions of hours of gaming. Now, imagine that all those TV shows didn't work on the same DVD player and sometimes you had to go out and buy a different brand of DVD player. That's gaming. Millions of hours on different DVD players. 1001 TV Shows are impractical. 1001 Video Games is about ten times worse. Even if you only try each game, you still have all those game systems. For these last two game generations? Six consoles, three handhelds, and a gaming PC.
But, a lot of these books cover topics that would involve travel. So while this book may not be a good idea, it's a good possibility. So here are my choices, which I've tried to think outside of the box for.
